Auction #207 - Part II
Item numbers 1235 through 2949 in auction 207
Item Description
c. 1930s. Made by Kerk Guild, designed by Lester Gaba. 7.25” diameter 1.5” deep cardboard box has nice photo of Shirley on lid . Box side label notes “The Cover Of This Box Is A Specially Posed Portrait Of Shirley”. Box has color rubs around sides, trace of lt. surface wear. Fine. Contains four “Shirley Temple” cameo soaps, each w/ relief profile image. Bottom die-cut insert has “Friendship Rope” text stressing trust, fun, and “Singing In The Tub”. A few edge flakes, but images are unaffected. All are unused and structurally sound. Fine. A scarce set, especially since box lid photo was designed to be cut out.
