Item Description
11.75x19.75x3.5" deep reproduction box holds hard plastic viewer which is 9" tall. 1960s made by Multiple Products Inc. Also included w/item is an original 5.5x7.75" ad for the Horrorscope from "Famous Monsters Of Filmland" magazine. Ad states specifications of viewer - "No Bulbs, No Batteries, Hand-Action Complete With 4 Full Edition Films..." Exc. Comes w/two of the four issued films - Frankenstein and Dracula. "Dracula's Return" features images from "Dracula" w/Bela Lugosi and "Frankenstein's Revenge" features images from "Frankenstein" w/Boris Karloff. Each film is missing six double-sided cards for a total of 12 images. Films are cranked in a flip book style, so missing images are not noticeable. Missing are #17/18, 31/32, 33/34, 39/40, 49/50, 125/126. Flip cards have moderate scattered wear to edges from use, small amount of creasing. VG to mostly Fine. Viewer has obvious wear w/three small broken pieces, on handle, base and viewing aperture. Still functions and has original bat sticker w/"Horrorscope" name. Sticker has scattered edge wear and some nicks. Viewer is VG. One of the most sought-after monster items of the 1960s, we have previously sold a sealed Mint example for over $3,000.
