Item Description
Ava Gardner (1922-1990) began her career at MGM Studios in 1941 and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in "Mogambo" in 1953. Included in this lot are two pairs of gloves and a purse that were personally owned by Gardner. First pair of gloves are 13.5" white patent leather. Small size gloves have been folded and show little wear, possibly having only been worn a few times by the star. Second pair are 8.5" long black leather, again showing lt. wear. Gloves have original tag from Star Wares On Main store. High quality. Both are Exc. overall. 5.75x7.5" c. 1960s Richere beaded bag has "Walborg" makers label inside. Intricate white bead covering w/small chain made to be tucked inside if desired w/hidden hinges. Satin lining has some lt. spotting from use. Beading appears complete and tight. VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA as well as R&R Enterprises, Walt Disney World Co. (Disney MGM Merchandise Division) and Star Wares On Main movie wardrobe and prop house COAs.
