6x8x8.75" tall beautifully painted and glazed ceramic. c. 1939. Very impressive jar depicts the coachman w/whip and sword at his right, his left hand holds a pipe. Underside has "Geppetto Pottery" name stamp and Disney/Pinocchio text stamp. Trace of aging to interior and underside, none of which affects outside appearance. Tiny 1/8" flake off tip of left foot and minute 1/16" flake off bottom of coat in rear. These tiny defects are trivial and only noticeable upon close inspection. Lower left coat button is w/o most yellow color but this is as factory made as it is under the glaze. Appearance remains bright, glossy and Exc. for display. One of the rarest and most desirable Disney ceramic items. Only the fourth we've offered in our 46 years, the previous three examples (which also had minor flaws) each sold for between $3,000 and $4,000.
