Item Description
6" tall, depicting Mickey Mouse w/his hand clasped beside his face in joy. Bank is by Faiencerie d' Onnaing and company name is on underside along w/"Made In France." This company's beautiful products are featured in a three-page article in Tomart's Disneyana magazine issue No. 11 although this particular piece is shown in a different color variation. Coin slot is on back of Mickey's head. From a 1930s series that also included Pluto and Horace Horsecollar. Tiny .25" paint flake off his upper arm and some scattered aging but bank remains bright and glossy. Fine. Rare.
