Item Description
Each is 1.25" to 2.75" tall. Most are in brass with three in silver luster. First is highly detailed vertical oval of steaming locomotive. Text on back "The Travelers Insurance Co./Ticket Department/Hartford, Conn." Next is horizontal oval with exceedingly tiny text that appears to read "B&O 1910/10000." Next from early 1900s reads "The North-Western Line Best Of Everything." This is white metal with red accent. Next is shield with spike and reading "Union Pacific/Golden Spike Days/Omaha Nebr. 1869-1939." Next is pennant design with worn paint but with raised brass text reading "Mobile And Ohio R." Next is circular reading "The Plant System." This was a group of railroads and steamboats in the south which became part of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1902. Next is figural glove with tiny text on the palm reading "F.P. Sargent Trade Mark." Reverse reads "The F.P. Sargent Union Made Glove." Small loss of silver luster. Next is rebus stickpin for railroad work clothes maker Carhartt. Design consists of a trolley car surrounded by heart shape with text above reading "Union Made." This piece is circa 1900. Last has frontal view of train engine with word "Fleischmann" below. This is German model railroad maker and the piece is circa 1952 when they introduced HO scale models. The other eight pieces are largely from the early 1900s with the exception of the Golden Spike item. Items are NM displaying Mint except as noted.
