1.25” with Baltimore Badge backpaper that includes 1901 patent date. Trivial age on the paper. Cello has bright gold rim with text “South Carolina Inter-State And West Indian Exposition/Charleston, 1901-1902.” Pictured beneath a palm tree are a pair of smiling black boys with their four hands holding a large watermelon slice captioned below “Down In Dixie.” A gorgeous and rare multi-color we’ve seen less than a half a dozen times.
