Item Description
Each piece is 3” tall with highly embossed brass frame surrounding domed black center area with raised numeral in brass. The first topped by an eagle has word “Defendam” and initials standing for National Guard State Of New York. The second topped by a letter “B” has brass text “Mass-Vol/Militia.” This has a numeral “8” at center. Third also with numeral “8” has same text as previous but this is topped by the letter “C.” Reverse of each piece has a number of brass prongs for fastening. In order shown the New York one has pair of prongs behind the eagle while below one of two prongs remain. On the “B” example there is one prong remaining behind the letter while below both prongs remain. On the “C” example one prong remains behind the letter while below one of two prongs remains. Fronts have only light general age. Nice luster. See following related items.
