13" tall classic doll by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. 1940. Movable head and upper body are composition while rest is wood jointed. The red fabric cape is a expertly crafted felt replacement, complete w/Superman symbol patch on reverse. Has a belt decal w/simulated buckle on front while back features copyright/company information. Scattered paint touch-ups to composition areas. Chest symbol decal and front of belt decal have been touched-up, though face has had little done to it. Back of belt has a few tiny pinpoint decal flakes. Wooden segments of arms and legs show wear, w/paint rubbed at joints. Still a very displayable example that stands nicely. Appearance remains Fine.
