Item Description
9" long by 8.5" tall doll comes in nicely illustrated box. ©1938. Front/back panels of box feature same large image of Ferdinand while two side panels have images of him sniffing a flower plus four picadors. Box is complete although inner flaps have tape reinforcements. 1.5" tear to one end flap and box has dust soiling and scattered traces of edge wear but remains tight and retains strong color. Fine. Box is scarce. Doll is variety in black as stamped on box (also produced in brown). Has image of bee on hind quarter and his name appears above one leg. Complete w/pipe cleaner/string tail and fabric flower attached at mouth. Choice condition w/very little of the typical hairline crazing, most of which is confined to the face and minimal. Tiny 1/8" paint flake on shoulders. Bright and glossy and VF.
