Auction #207 - Part II
Item numbers 1235 through 2949 in auction 207
Item Description
2-1/8" button naming all three networks and issued to promote station "66" with full text "For The Best In Sound And Pic's/Keep Your Dial On 66/WKNY-TV/Kingston-Poughkeepie." Silver luster is off the metal reverse and front has a little tanning to the right of the channel number plus some faint spotting on extreme rim edge. Still displays with full gloss. An interesting button in that it includes "DuMont" a pioneer commercial television network which began operating in 1946 but for various reasons did not achieve financial success and ceased broadcasting in 1956. A rare local button from the early 1950s.
