Item Description
7x9.5x7" tall (including rear head flap). 1950's. Front of hat has gold diamond shape pinback w/Captain Gallant design and number “57” at bottom. Badge is 1.75" tall embossed brass w/flame design set within a diamond design accented by the numbers "57" below representing the sponsor, Heinz. Item is from 1955. Tiny luster lost on raised areas but remains VF. Scarce. Done in a legionnaire style, this hat has a 5" cloth flap on back of hat. Cloth is lightly aged w/cloth insert being soiled in front half. Original cardboard insert is still attached via diamond badge on front although insert has several creases. Fine w/VF appearance.
