Item Description
Each is 7/8". Bernhardt has backpaper naming maker W&H and sponsor "American Pepsin Gum Co." This button was part of their give-away set featuring famous personalities. Done in black and cream with just a touch of pink tint on her dress. Scarce and NM displaying Mint. Second button is a real photo sepia with faint image and type which can be read if viewed closely "Come Play With Me/Anna Held." Reverse backpaper names maker W&H but also with larger text "Compliments Of F. Ziegfeld, Jr. Mgr. Anna Held." Other than the light contrast portrait condition is Mint and the only example we've seen.
