Auction #207 - Part II
Item numbers 1235 through 2949 in auction 207
Item Description
5" wide triangular decorative metal plate with four tiny holes so it can be fastened to a leather saddle. Outer edges have floral designs while center has raised rope design surrounding the hand engraved text. Item originated from McMinnville, Oregon where the Yamhill Co. Mounted Sheriff's Posse has operated for years as a public service group promoting horsemanship. We estimate this piece to be circa 1950s or perhaps earlier. No "Sterling" mark but definitely silver. Trivial age traces. Exc.
