Item Description
Group of over 20 individual pieces representing eight distinct premium offers made by Ralston between 1937-1950. More or less in our photo order left to right the group includes: "Official Tom Mix Secret Writing Manual." This is from 1937 and is an eight page booklet 3"x5.5". Cover is lightly tanned. With it comes 2.75" cardboard decoder. This has dust soil on the back but the front displays NM. The only thing missing from this premium is a pair of glass vials. Next is full set of five decoder buttons each a 1" litho. These come with 3.5"x5.25" folded card to which they were pinned. Pin holes on the card back and penciling on the blank interior but the front instruction side still displays quite cleanly and the buttons themselves are Exc. This is from 1946. Next is "Sheriff Dobie County" badge with built in siren. This is Mint. 1946. Next is 3" long pen light from 1938. Small chips off the decal edges as typical but overall very bright and clean and complete with bulb, spring and plunger (no battery). Next are items from the Make-Up Kit. Four of these pieces are from the 1937 offer consisting of a fabric mustache and three unpainted tins each with Tom Mix brand logo and with raised lettering for "Chink/Negro/Mexican." With this come two of the checker board slightly larger tins from the 1940s offer. The red one has just slightly faded paint. Next from 1946 is the Luminous Compass Magnifying Glass. This has tiny hairline in the plastic frame holding the glass but causing no real problem and the piece is VF and glowing. Next from 1950 is small three dimensional plastic TV set 1.25" wide. It contains a film disk featuring the Marx Brothers. It also comes with 5"x5" instruction sheet. Last is "Tom Mix" pair of tins 1.75" dia. by 5/8" deep joined by a black cord to serve as a primitive style telephone. This 1938 premium is in Mint condition. All significant defects are mentioned and this is a very clean group of items.
