Item Description
8.5x11" typed letter on "Tom Mix - Ralston Straight Shooters" letterhead. Mailed in 1933 in regards to first Tom Mix premium gun (see item #2348). Letter has Tom putting his honor on the line due to shortage of premium. Text includes "You Must Think Your Old Pal Tom Mix Has Gone Back On You. But I haven't. No, Indeed!" noting that almost 200,000 children have ordered guns and only a few thousand a day can be made. Letter closes "Wishing You A Merry Christmas. Your Sincere Friend, Tom Mix" w/facsimile signature. P.S. notes that he is sending along his western catalog w/premiums for Ralston box tops. Scattered aging w/three folds as issued. VG/Fine. Only the third example we've seen in our 47 years. Rare.
