Item Description
3.5" dia. polished sphere composed of azurite, a soft, deep blue copper mineral and malachite, both of which are produced by the weathering of copper ore deposits and are often found together. The blue linings of the sphere are the azurite while a .25x1" area shows a deposit of malachite. The specimen used to create this sphere has also been impregnated w/quartz, flecks of which can be seen throughout. Collected from Chile, the sphere has been polished and comes w/a wooden display base. Exc.
