Item Description
"Eagle" was a British children's comic, first published from 1950 to 1969. It is best known for its most recognizable story, "Dan Dare, Pilot Of The Future" and "Riders Of The Range" which featured Western hero Jeff Arnold. "Eagle" also contained news and sport sections, and educational cutaway diagrams of sophisticated machinery. A members club was created, and a range of related merchandise was licensed for sale, such as this 2" dia. pocket watch by Ingersoll. 1950s. Animated gun hand that moves w/the seconds. Reverse has incised image of eagle in flight and word "Eagle." Trace of brass showing through the silver plating. VF. Dial shows Jeff atop his horse w/guns drawn and his white bearded sidekick in bkg. Bright, clean and Exc. Scarce.
