Item Description
7-5/8x11x4.5" deep box has art on top of Davy Crockett in action. Contains full complement of toys, each 3.75" tall w/2.5" tall soft vinyl figure on top of plastic base. Sticker on fronts w/"Davy Crockett – Hero Of The Western Frontier – Scout, Indian Fighter, Congressman – Born In Tenn. 1786 – Fought At The Alamo" text. Davy is depicted firing rifle from back of horse. Underside of each toy has thin wire crank, allowing Davy and his horse to move as if riding when twisted. Centaur Productions, Inc. c. 1950s. Toys display bright and glossy but have generous spots of glue holding figures to base on top as produced. Glue is largely confined to top surface of base, but a few have dribbles on outer base edge where it adhered to the cardboard divider insert, a surface layer of cardboard remains adhered to the glue spot. One toy has a sticky residue on the base but the other 11 still display bright and glossy. Exc. Box has 1" tear at front edge of die-cut display opening. VF.
