Item Description
Large 22x28" cardboard poster for a 1940s burlesque performance at the Empire Burlesk house in Newark, NJ. Rose is credited as "Naughty Nifties - T.N.T. Rose La Rose." During the early 1940s she toured in a burlesque show called "T.N.T Of Teasers." Rose is one of the few performers of the Golden Age of Burlesque to perform topless. Poster features a great picture of her wearing only heels, discreetly posed w/a sheet draped over her. Poster has fragile margins, w/several small chips along bottom margin, .5" corner tips off and a 1" piece repaired along left center margin and a 2" repaired tear at top center margin. VG overall, but would mat and frame for a VF display. Scarce.
