Item Description
Cardboard boxes range from 6” to 8.75” long. First box has image of Trylon and Perisphere. Box top is designed for mailing. Box lid has one end missing and old clear tape repair at missing end. Overall Good. Sides of box have bold text "New York World's Fair 1939." Box contains 1.25" dia. by 6" long cardboard cylinder designed as golf bag with text at bottom "American Lead Pencil Co. New York, U.S.A." Bag has leatherette strap. Comes with three 8" long pencils with metal ends designed as wood, iron and putter. Each pencil reads "400 - 'Club' American Pencil Co. New York." Contents are complete, unused and Exc. Next box has spaces to fill in addresses plus a pair of wire clips to seal the box closed. Box address lines are unused. Contains beautiful example of mechanical pencil in Mint, unused condition. Text reads "Official Souvenir New York World's Fair 1939." Shown are several different buildings along with the Trylon & Perisphere. Top pulls off to reveal eraser. Brass pocket clip is inscribed "Wearever." Mint. Next box has pair of 5" long ivory white cello or early plastic fountain pen and mechanical pencil, both w/semi-iridescent quality. Bodies of both have printed design in orange/blue including Trylon and Perisphere symbols. Caps have decorative small brass wrappers plus brass pocket clips inscribed for maker "Stratford." Pen has 14K gold plate point. VF.
