Item Description
Original release 3.25x4" glass slide w/taped edges (marked "Excelsior Illustrating Co." of New York, NY.) for 1924 silent historical war romance film. It describes the heroic story of events during the Revolutionary war, in which filmmaker D.W. Griffith created a film adaptation of Robert W. Chambers' novel "The Reckoning." Title slide features two inset images from film, one showing battle and the other showing Patriot rider. Marquee area at bottom is blank. Exc.
