Item Description
Lot of three posters issued in 1942 and 1944. All are folded as issued. First measures 20x28.5" and features photo of injured worker w/his arm in sling. Text reads "Take Care! Idle Hands Work For Hitler" and small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1942-O-464378." Poster has lt. handling wear w/small tears at fold crease intersections. VF. Next poster measures 20x28" and features art images of two Cadet Nurses by John Whitcomb. Poster reads "Be A Cadet Nurse - The Girl With A Future" w/further text concerning the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps education. Small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1944-O-599074." Center horizontal fold line has insect damage to reverse, showing through onto front in the form of a few tiny holes. Fine. Last poster measures 18.5x26" and features image of man relaxing w/dog in front of fan, a pitcher of lemonade and pipes beside his chair and framed picture of serviceman on bookshelf. Poster reads "Me Travel? - ...Not This Summer - Vacation At Home" and small text at bottom reads "U.S. Government Printing Office: 1944-O-643715." Back of poster has one panel w/typed address and United States Government return address. Scattered aging and small tears at fold crease intersections, but VF overall.
