“Pre-Flight Trainer” 13.5x21x1.5" deep box contains complete store set (more elaborate than premium version) by Einson-Freeman Co. Inc. © 1942. Lid has two corner splits and three side panel splits, w/cellophane tape repairs. Overall VG .Detailed assembly parts are die-cut thick cardboard. The "Realistic Authentic Airplane Instrument Panel" features "10 Instruments With Needles That Can Be Turned Around To Show Various Maneuvers." These include "Air Speed, Rate Of Climb, Oil Pressure," etc. "Needles" are intact, but small throttle lever is missing. A large 20" "Wheel-Control" attaches to the instrument panel. There are also a pair of "Rudder Pedals" accessory pieces which show use. Final item for attachment to the instrument panel is a "Gun Sight Spotter Dial." This features different images of actual German, Italian and Japanese planes. "Enemy Plane" images appear on "In Your Gun Sight". Once the plane is identified, a "Nose-Cannon Trigger" is moved and in turn the "Plane Explodes Right Before Your Eyes." This is designed as a "Spot And Shoot Down Enemy Planes" game and comes w/four die-cut airplane score markers. All of the assembly pieces have some scattered lt. wear as originally assembled, some lt. creases on some of the movable parts/assembly pieces but all remains Fine. Final item is 24-page "How To Fly" illustrated booklet. Contents include detailed instructions on using the instrument panel as well as "A Complete Pre-Flight Training Course In Aviation/Learn Fundamentals Of Aviation/Over 200 Illustrations." Includes two-page "Spotting Airplanes" guide featuring 25 fighting planes of the U.S. and 25 "Enemy Planes.". Moderate scattered cover wear and aging. Cover VG, contents Fine to VF. “Zoom” by All Fair 9-7/8x13-5/8x1.5” deep box is c. late 1930s-early 1940s. Lid has trace of edge wear. Fine/VF. Game has nicely detailed instrument panel w/spinners on gauges used to play game, bi-fold board, eight painted cast metal planes . Contents appear complete, unused and NM. Nicely designed pair.
