Item Description
Large, 20.75x26.75" cardboard, similar in design to a jumbo window card, this is a trolley card, used to advertise movies on trolley cars. This is for original 1936 release of Howard Hawks-directed adventure/drama film that starred James Cagney as daredevil womanizing pilot "Dizzy" Davis and Pat O'Brien as his war veteran buddy and the operations manager of an airline company. Card features great image of crashing bi-plane at lower left corner. Printed by the Francis-Valentine Co. of San Francisco, CA., marquee at top notes "Loews Warfield" San Francisco theater. Card shows obvious wear from exposure to the elements during its original trolley use, w/creases, aging and moisture spotting. 5.25" tear at top right corner at text w/tape repair on reverse. Corner tip wear. VG overall.
