Item Description
13.75x16.5” with raised rim of roses accented at left by cowboy with lasso on horseback and right by full figure of TR in Spanish American War uniform. Numerous paint chips off extreme outer raised rim and scattered tiny white dots and a few dark dots on the central flat oval. Couple scratches and paint chips on his lower coat. Raised rim reads “Theodore Roosevelt.” Inner yellow line reads “After John S. Sargent’s Painting. Reproduced By Courtesy Of Collier’s Weekly, Copyright 1903 By Collier’s Weekly. The Meek & Beach Co., Coshocton, Ohio.” At bottom of TR image is sponsor’s name “The Tacoma Ledger/ Washington’s Greatest Daily.” The 2004 Hake Guide value is $525. Fine.
