Item Description
Barry Gordy/Division Of Motown Record Corp. 12-3/8x12-3/8" double album w/single 33-1/3 RPM record. Record has 11 tracks, including one titled "I Have A Dream." This speech followed a gigantic march down Woodward Avenue to Cobo Hall for June 23 Freedom Rally. This preceeded the more famous Aug. 28 rally in Washington D.C. on the Lincoln Memorial steps where King departed from his prepared text for a partly improvised peroration on the theme "I Have A Dream," possibly prompted by Mahalia Jackson's shout "Tell Them About The Dream Martin!" Record is Mint. Album has a single 5" edge split on top of sleeve but is o/w VF. A historic and scarce record album.
