Item Description
From a line of at least 11 painted and glazed ceramic figurines (see following two items #1858-59) produced in 1956-1957 by Kreiss & Company who were known for their crazy ceramic creations (including "Psycho Ceramics"). These figurines were named "Moon Beings" and were blatantly based on Dr. Seuss's creatures from "If I Ran The Zoo, Scrambled Eggs Super!" and "On Beyond Zebra!" Unlicensed, these figurines have no Dr. Seuss markings, but are clearly of his design. Included here is 5" tall blue, camel-like creature w/ tuft of fur on top of its head. Original 1" dia. cardboard Kreiss "Moon Beings" tag around neck shows lt. wear but figure is o/w NM.
