Item Description
11" tall exceptionally well-made doll w/stuffed felt body/helmet, fabric clothing and wire inserts for posing. Doll sits astride 3.75" wide by 14.5" long well-made bobsled w/"Cortina 2" painted text/number on front of sled, an obvious reference to the 1956 Winter Olympics which took place in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy from Jan. 26 to Feb. 6, 1956. Produced by Italian company Lars and likely sold at the Olympics. Donald has spot of glue on his bottom, but is no longer attached to sled other than w/wire armature holding steering wheel. Scattered lt. dust soiling/aging. .25x.75" area of discoloration on bill, but still displays Fine. Rare and the first we've offered in our 47 years.
