Auction #208 - Part II
Item numbers 1278 through 3040 in auction 208
Item Description
5-1/8" tall depicting Mickey standing on base w/incised "Mickey Mouse" name on front. 1930s. Back of base is marked "Made In Japan." Scattered paint wear (about 80% remaining) and aging. Missing string tail. VG. Very rare and most collectors do not realize this as so many Mickey Mouse bisques look similar. The other figural bisque Mickey toothbrush holders do not have a base and all have movable arm. This version has stationary arms. A true Disney bisque rarity, this is the first example we've offered in over a decade. From the Michael J. Stern Collection.
