Large 11.5x26x18" tall box contains nearly complete set by A. C. Gilbert Co. copyright 1965 Glidrose Productions Ltd. Front of box has full color paper label, rest of box is in rwb. Front label notes this is a "Sears Exclusive." Overall appearance is bright and glossy. All other side panels of box have lt. aging to white areas and a few long but lt. creases. Masking tape remaining on top flaps from being sealed at some point. 3x3" corner missing from one top tab. Overall box is still much nicer than usually found. VF. Box contains elaborate electrically operated slot car race course that consists of six main molded hard plastic sections to be snapped together and held by thin metal contact rails in the racing slots of the track. Assembled course is 34x51" and has very colorful and scenic basic layout including lakes, rock formations, etc. which are enhanced by addition of two plastic mountains (when assembled, the highest mountain is about 10" tall). Course is a modified "Figure 8" complete w/elevated lamps, underpasses, tunnels, banks, tilted curves, oil slicks, etc. Comes w/many small accessory pieces including 7 signs, 4 large and one small fence sections, 12 trees, fire extinguisher, fuel tank, lift, 2 locking boulders and 6 clips, one pole w/sealed pennants. Missing one pole. Comes w/pair of 3.5" long slot cars which are a red Aston Martin and blue Mustang. Mustang has lt. wear to chrome. Aston Martin has the pop-up bullet shield on back. Cars appear Exc. Has both of the red plastic speed control units w/"James Bond" foil stickers that were both originally wired to one of the six sections. We have not tested the set so we are unsure if it works but it does come w/original power pack. Comes detailed instructions showing aging and wear with a tear on front cover corner. Good. All track sections show only st. wear, dust soiling but no noteable defects and VF. Box contains original packing material between sections and appears to be complete with wiring harness and light bulbs plus a spare harness. Overall set is Exc. An exceptional Bond item rarely found this complete and w/this nice of a box.
