Item Description
4.5x8x5" tall pressed steel toy phone by N.N. Hill Brass Co. c. 1934. This toy originally came with a thick die-cut Mickey Mouse attachment (see item #1804) which is missing and has been replaced by a vintage 1930s die-cut Mickey which has been affixed to a stiff backing. While not the correct figure, it is a suitable replacement for display purposes. This is attached to metal bracket reading "Toll Bank" and in front of this is coin slot. Underside has attached trap. Phone's rotary dial turns and rings. The speaker unit on the handset has been re-glued to handle with color touch-up. O/w enameled paint body remains bright and glossy. The silvered dial has scattered tiny traces of luster loss, the paper insert with numerals has trace of wear. Fine.
