Item Description
1960s. Each is 8x10" glossy with story title and episode number. First group is #1-8 for “Sweet Gwendoline In The Escape Artiste” story in comic book style format. Remaining 42 are #1-42 for “New Adventures Of Sweet Gwendoline” w/large panel format. Wonderful John Willie art throughout. Pictures were sold for 50¢ per sheet by Irving Klaw and advertised in catalogs such as those by Nutrix . Well drawn images feature women fighting, wrestling, struggling, and in positions of jeopardy. Emulsion is a bit yellowed on a few but overall group is VF/Exc. Individual sheets are scarce. Rare to find a group this large at one time. Comes with original mailing envelope with Irving Claw NYC return address. Worn. Good.
