Item Description
3.75x6x7/8" deep box contains 1.25" dia. chromed metal case, complete w/original red vinyl-covered leather band. Larger of two cases produced. Dial features full figure image of Captain Marvel holding fighter jet and "Captain Marvel" name. ©1948 Fawcett Publications Pub. Inc. Comes w/original "Marvel Importing Corporation" guarantee paper which is aged and Fine. Original foil tag around upper band reads "Captain Marvel 5.95," a lower price than following item #2437. Insert shows some wear around slots for watch w/.5" tear and fade to red areas. Fine. Box has some lt. handling wear w/dust soiling and corner tip rubs. Fine. Case retains bright luster. Dial remains totally bright and clean. Luminous material on numerals has aged but hands still glow faintly. Crystal has slightly yellowed. Watch is overwound but unused and displays NM.
