Item Description
Largest piece in the group is full figure Santa Claus 6" tall. The concept here is a double piece of stiff cardboard open on one edge and sealed on the other. By blowing into one end a whistle is produced. Interior of Santa advertises a toy department at "Hill's Drygoods, Davenport, Iowa." His chest area on each side is slightly recessed as made with a very fine hairline paper stress around part of each circle but no actual break through the cardboard. Rest is bright and clean and the piece works well. Second is Santa promoting store in Reading Pa. Reverse pictures the store. This is lightly tanned and with light surface wear. Next is for "Bradely & Metcalf" shoes. Light creases on the exterior cardboard. Much advertising on the interior. Next is designed as a light bulb and promotes "Delco-Light." Light traces of tanning mostly on interior. Next is full figure of "Steamboat Bill" with advertising for product "Malt-O-Meal." Interior promotes his radio program and the cereal sponsor. Next is for "Ruberoid Roofing." Interior is missing a small wooden spacing block and with light general wear on the exterior. Next is for the same product. Light traces of age. Last is figural for "Homer Furnace Co." with exterior view one side and cut away interior view on the other. Light age on a few as specified but a nice clean group and quite scarce give-aways. See next two lots.
