Item Description
First is from Cincinnati and is a 1-3/16” beautifully designed enamel on “sterling” pin depicting a crescent moon, a spoke wheel with a wing and arrow accent and a ribbon design naming the “Crescent Wheelmen.” The moon has two areas with small pieces of enameling missing. Marked on back with name of NY maker Robert Stoll. Beautiful 1890s piece in spite of the small damage. Second is 1.25” button with back paper by Hoegee, Los Angeles. The button is c. 1903. It shows a name plate for the “Yale” bicycle. Text on the name plate in smaller and larger letters reads “The Kirk Mfg. Co. Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A./Consolidated Mfg. Co. Successors To …” Lower center of the celluloid has pair of .25” cracks or deep scratches but celluloid remains very intact and these show only a trifle in reflected light.
