Item Description
Each button is a 13/16 litho, all with the company name and "Airplane Series" on the back. Hake's Buttons In Sets book listed 19 seen. However, in Auction #206 we sold a set with a new discovery titled "Colonel Lindbergh's Lockheed-Sirius With Pontoons." That button is not in this group and the other missing one is Graf Zeppelin, so this 18 of 20 known. Some of the interesting planes included are: Admiral Byrd's South Pole plane, Rickenbacker's plane, Lindbergh's Spirit Of St. Louis, First Wright Bi-Plane-1903, Byrd's North Pole plane, and numerous military planes. Capt. Rickenbacker's plane has a few 1/16" scratches, the Boeing Army Bi-Plane P-12-6 is slightly faded and Caribbean Clipper-S42 has two 1/16" paint rubs. The other 15 are NM to Mint. Our 19 of 20 set exceeded $300.00. Comes with Hake's COA.
