Item Description
1.25" in silvered brass with the original leather trap. Opposite side pictures buildings of the "Detroit Yacht Club." Boat has tiny "W" pennant on the bow representing builder Garfield Wood. This perhaps shows their 1929 effort built to be the fastest boat in the world. There were at least ten boats in the Miss America Series and between 1920 and 1933 Wood won the Harmsworth Trophy eight times as a driver and nine times as an owner. Tiniest bit of silver luster loss on the front and just a little more off the back but overall extremely Fine. Only example we've seen.
