The issuer of these 1.25" real photo buttons is unknown but they date from the 1930s. For many years the list of 17 in Buttons In Sets went unchanged but with this group we add a new discovery (row 4, #3) with inscription "Str. Alexander Hamilton." The three missing to complete the now 18 known are DeWitt Clinton, Robert Fulton, S.S. Wauketa. In addition this group has an enamel on brass pin picturing the "Hendrick Hudson." The buttons are all NM displaying Mint. Oceanliners include Conte Di Savoia, Queen Mary, Mauretania, Normandie, and The Rex. Among the ferry’s are Hendrick Hudson, Peter Stuyvesant, Americana, Westchester and others. No back papers as issued. All are Exc. displaying Mint.
