First is 2.25" long celluloid case designed as an envelope with simulated stamp reading "Miracle Worker." Post mark is "Yesterday/Today/Forever." Address reads "To Jesus Through Mary." Reverse of the case reads "Resolution: All For Jesus, Through Mary, Joseph And Martin" plus larger text "Relic Card Case/Postage Stamp Wallet." Below his portrait is a tiny area with about 3/32" circle of actual fabric held by a seal on the other side. Beneath this is the word "Relic" and beneath this is "Linen Laid On Casket Containing Head Of Bl. Martin." Reverse of this includes New York City address for "Bl. Martin Guild." Tiny split on upper left corner of the outer case. Rest is Mint. St. Martin, who died in 1639, was canonized in 1962 by Pope John XXIII. He is the Patron Saint of mixed-race people and those seeking interracial harmony. Comes with 2.25" tall celluloid bookmark with religious text front and back and very tiny text noting "Brooklyn, N.Y. Tabernacle." This piece is c. 1920. Mint. See Children's Day items #687.
