Item Description
Each of these is undated but they are c. 1890s and each has been tested as 10K gold. All have a reverse pin. Sizes range from 1.75" tall to 3-1/8" tall. In order of our photo these have the following inscriptions. First reads "Class 91/Elocutionary Department" with letters on the extending segments we interpret as "MVJE&L." Reverse has name of female awardee. Second reads "First Prize/Bowling." Third reads "Ora et Labora" with large entwined letters "NDC" with reverse text "College Notre Dame/San Jose, Cal." Fourth has man's name on hanger with suspension reading "Graduate." Reverse engraved "St Mary's College San Antonio June 12th" and what appears to be "18" (we did not realize this one was dated.) Fifth reads "Notre Dame/Conservatory/Music." Reverse has initials "M.L.C. San Jose Cal." Sixth reads "Notre Dame/Conservatory/Music" same as previous although lower segment is engraved differently than the previous. This also has reverse initials "MLC." All are essentially Mint as made. The six pieces weigh 37.8 grams.
