Item Description
2-1/8" with metal back and bar pin. There are very few launch buttons for aircraft carriers. This one reads "Launching Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Princeton July Eighth 1945 Philadelphia Navy Yard." This ship was commissioned too late to service in World War II but saw extensive service in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. One of her last missions was to serve as the prime recovery ship for the Apollo 10 space mission. NM displaying Mint.
