Item Description
"Marvel Masterpieces" was the name of several subsequent sets of trading cards, printed during 1992-2008, depicting characters and events from Marvel Comics. Featuring large, vividly illustrated card fronts and backs detailing trivia, each card showcased a different personality from Marvel's body of work. Offered here are three 9x10" glossy promotional folders for 1994-1995. First is folder for "Marvel Cards Universe 1994" that features large image of fan-favorite Wolverine on cover. Folder holds five glossy promo sheets, typed and stapled promo text packet as well as typed press release, checklist sheet and glossary. Comes w/uncut 7.5x10.5" sheet of eight cards and two example cards. All are NM. Other two folders are for 1994-1995 "Marvel Masterpieces" cards and each features glossy promo sheets/text, checklists and uncut card sheets featuring a total of eight cards and two example cards apiece. All are NM. Characters featured include - Spider-Man, Venom, Hulk, Thing, Human Torch, Silver Surfer, Beast, Daredevil, etc. and feature art by such talents as Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo.
