Rare ring offered very briefly by Quaker Cereals in the summer of 1941 w/expiration date of 8/30/41 and promotional text in ads with instructions to order “Before Orphan Annie Comes Back On The Air Next Fall.” Ring has “SG” initials on each side while top has her portrait covered by a small magnifying glass in a brass frame which has a pin on upper edge so the frame could be turned to the side. Lens frame edge has st. luster loss, barely visible unless viewed with magnifier. Ring top w/her portrait has gorgeous brilliant luster about 98% complete. Ring has only slight original luster loss from the slightly raised circle around her portrait and the base side areas immediately below this circle as well as the narrow circles of metal edges surrounding the finger opening. The outer wider surfaces of the base retain near 100% luster. Overall about 95% luster remains intact on the base. We grade as extremely Fine but to the naked eye, unless studied very closely, this ring displays lustrous Mint. Our last NM example exceeded $2,000.00.
