Complete set of the first Nightmare Before Christmas high quality resin figurines released as part of the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC). WDCC created an exclusive backstamped set of Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" figurines for the Disney Store and The Walt Disney Gallery. The Disney Store version was only sold as a set (not including the opening title) and was limited to an edition size of 600 sets. The special backstamped set was only available at participating locations of the Disney Store and The Walt Disney Gallery, beginning Sept. 7, 2000 as part of their Art and Collectibles Premier Event. Set includes 9" tall delicate Jack Skellington "My Christmas Is Filled With Laughter And Joy" figurine; 8" tall Sally "The Sandy Claws Seamstress" figurine; 3.5" tall Zero "Spirited Companion" figurine and 2x3.5" "Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas" title piece on filmstrip design. The character figurines were all sculpted by artist Kent Melton and each comes w/individual WDCC COAs. Each has incised feather mark on underside. NM. Original boxes show lt. wear and are Exc. overall. These figures come w/the exceedingly rare 8.75x11.5x1-7/8" tall retailer's exclusive base w/areas designed to hold the coffin-shaped bases of the figurines and filmstrip title piece. Additionally, base comes w/three separate tombstone pieces (one being Zero's "Bow Wow" doghouse design) and "Halloween Town" sign post. This base comes w/separate 4.5x7x9" tall piece depicting large moon disc behind the film's iconic curled hillside w/tombstones and jack-o-lanterns on its base. Both base and this piece were sculpted by artist Martin Milan. The figurine display base and this separate piece were only issued to WDCC Gold Circle retailers for display purposes. These pieces were not issued w/boxes and have been hand-numbered by the artist on back - "123-500" and "134-500" respectively. These retailer exclusive pieces were limited to 500, while figurines were limited to 600. NM. When all pieces are put in place, this makes for an astounding display.
