Item Description
Pair of posters promoting the 250th episode of "The Simpsons" which was titled "A Tale Of Two Springfields" and aired Nov. 5, 2000. Episode featured The Who as guest stars. Fox seized on this fact to publicize the episode, and these two posters were created as a result. First poster measures 10x13.5" and shows Homer Simpson (w/hair) shredding on guitar as Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and John Entwistle (who died two years after this episode aired) looking on w/"The Who" drum kit in bkg. Poster was done in concert poster style and was for party celebrating show's 250th episode and was given to cast and crew. Comes in tube w/"The Simpsons/Film Roman" label w/recipient's name scratched off. Poster has some lt. handling wear but remains Exc. overall. Comes w/larger 27x40" poster which recreates The Who's "The Kids Are Alright" rockumentary soundtrack album cover w/Homer taking the place of Keith Moon, much to The Who's obvious displeasure. Poster has scattered handling wear w/numerous creases at margins. Fine. Scarce pair of Simpsons promotional posters.
