Item Description
Set of 25, each is 1-3/8x2.75." Issued in 1890 and a follow-up to the American Horses set. ACC# N230. Issued by Kinney Brothers Tobacco Co. based in New York City. Choice color illustrations on fronts, backs carry a redemption offer for a "Large 8x10 Picture Of Any Horse In The Series" which was available by returning a complete set of 25 cards. Surface paper wear to a few backs as once scrapbook mounted. Moderate scattered wear/aging to the fronts but only a few w/a crease. Overall mostly VG, but some lesser condition. A scarce set most likely due to the redemption offer.
