Item Description
3.5" dia. w/lightly tinted real photo showing park established outside Pittsburgh, PA. in 1898 that continues to operate today. Mirror is c. 1905. Detail is incredible, showing roller coaster, sliding boards, pond surrounded by benches w/many individual people clearly visible in the foreground. Text at bottom reads "Kennywood Park - Ideal For School Picnics." Underside has minor loss of about 30% of the black paint from metal rim that holds the mirror into position. Mirror silvering remains Exc. Curl has word "Chicago" but the actual maker's name is printed over a cream colored area and all but unreadable; however, we think it reads "Cruver." Top edge of the celluloid has four near pinpoint rub marks but overall condition is Exc. Rare.
