Item Description
8x33x2" deep cardboard display box holds 32" long metal and plastic rifle. Hubley. ©1958 Four Star Essex. Box text includes "Shoots Standard Roll Caps As Fast As You Can Flip It! – Loading Chamber Pops Out Automatically. Keep Rifle Well Oiled." Box edge reads "Lucas McCain's 'Flip Special' As Seen On 'The Rifleman' ABC-TV." Box is green bkg. variety (also produced w/red bkg. insert). Box shows lt. wear/aging but remains structurally sound. Fine. Rifle itself has raised "The Rifleman Flip Special" text and Hubley logo w/steerhead design. Few scratches on stock w/repaired crack on stock right behind flip mechanism, a common defect w/this rifle. Still a nice boxed example w/ unfired rifle. Displays VF. Rarely seen boxed.
