Original illustrated box contains tin litho top by Lackawanna Mfg. Co. 1930s. Box has heavy and obvious wear w/edge/corner splits and tears and main lid panel has had tape repair to reattach it. Just Good, but box is quite rare. Lackawanna produced three different tops featuring a red bkg., however they are in three different sizes and each features totally different graphics. This is the middle size of the three, 8" dia. by 10" tall tin litho. Features images of Mickey Mouse playing a concertina accordion, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and The Big Bad Wolf chasing after the Three Little Pigs. As top spins, it produces musical sound. Underside rim edge of top has trace of wear from use. Top has moderate aging and scattered wear at edges. Paint touch-up at Mickey/Pluto area. Plating on top and bottom silvered areas nearly complete and are rarely found this nice. Fine overall.
